- W2379921903 abstract "The protective effects and possible mechanism of tea polyphenols against the damage of reproductive system induced by ultraviolet irradiation was studied.60 mice were divided into 6 groups randomly,Ⅰcontrol group,Ⅱ ultraviolet control group,Ⅲ ~ Ⅵ tea polyphenols groups.Every morning, the mice in Ⅰ and Ⅱ were given 10 ml kg 1 d 1 physiological saline, while mice in Ⅲ ~ Ⅵ groups were given 5 mg kg 1 d 1,10 mg kg 1 d 1,20 mgkg 1d 1,40 mg kg 1 d 1 tea polyphenols by intragastric administration respectively. In the afternoon,Ⅱ ~ Ⅵ groups received 3 hours UVB radiation.Didymus epididymis and seminal vesicle were weighed after completing the experiment, the changes of body weight, didymus, epididymis and seminal vesicle weight were compared.Morphology changes were detected by pathological histology,SOD and MDA changes were detected by method routine. Results: Compared to the control group, the body weight and germen gonad weight degraded obviously(P 0.05),SOD activity degraded obviously(P 0.01),MDA content raised obviously(P 0.01),spermatogenic cells arranged loosely and deciduous spermatogenic cells were found in the lumen of the seminiferous tubules in Ⅱ ultraviolet control group.Compared to Ⅱgroup, with the increase of tea polyphenols dosage, the body weight and germen gonad weight raised obviously(P 0.05),SOD activity raised obviously(P 0.05),MDA content decreased obviously(P 0.05),spermatogenic cells arranged more and more impact in Ⅲ~Ⅵ groups.UVB radiation could cause damage to reproductive system of male mice, and tea polyphenols was an effective anti-radiation protective agent,it can scavenge the free radicals and protect the reproductive organs and spermatogenic cells of male mile under the UVB radiation." @default.
