- W2380721904 abstract "Objective To study the interference of deicing salt in the germination process of some of the main corps in north China. Methods In the previous experiments, for com, soybeans, rice, cucumber,Chinese cabbage seeds,LD_(50) were 19.1,10.6,16.2,20.2 and 12.0 mg/ml respectively. Each of the seeds of crops were in control group(distilled water) and low(1/8 LD_(50)),moderate(1/4 LD_(50)),high dose(1/2 LD_(50)) snow melting agent solution culture, com, soybeans, rice, cucumber each group of 20 grains),Chinese cabbage groups(each group of 40 grains),the same concentration of experimental repeated five times. The content of proline, soluble protein, total free amino acid were determined when 90%seeds germinated. Results The proline content of cucumber seeds significantly reduced under high level of salt stress(P0.05),whereas cabbage seeds showed a decreases under all levels(P0.05).There were significant increases in those of soybean in moderate and high concentration groups(P0.05).And those of rice were down-regulated in moderate level while up-regulated under high degree of salt stress(P0.05),at the same time, those of com were up-regulated in low and moderate level but down-regulated in high level stress(P0.05).The soluble protein contents of cucumber seeds significantly reduced under medium and high level of salt stress(P0.05), and those of cabbage and rice increased in high concentration solution(P0.05).There were a significant decrease in those of soybean in low and moderate concentration solution(P0.05),but an increasing appeared under high level of salt stress(P0.05). Those of corn showed significant increases in all levels(P0.05).The total free amino acid contents of rice and cabbage were up-regulated in all levels of salt stress(P0.05) in contrary to cucumber seeds and soy beans(P0.05).While those of corn were down-regulated at first(P0.05),then up-regulated(P0.05).Conclusion Under the condition of this experiment, chlorine salt snow melting agents show an interference in the germination process of the mentioned seeds,in addition, soybean, rice and corn performed better in resistance to the stress of deicing salt." @default.
