- W2380761677 abstract "Objective To valuation the impact of using iodized salt iodize to eliminate iodine deficiency disorders(IDD).Methods According to the geographical distribution,table salts were randomly sampled in Gaozhou,2010.400 children were examined for the degree of goiter,and the urinary iodine contents from 100 children aged 8～10 were measured.Results 288 salt samples were analyzed and 285(98.96%) were iodized salt.283 samples(98.26%) were qualified iodized salt.91 children had a urinary contents of iodine greater than 100 μg /L,and the median concentration of iodine was 290 μg /L.Only one child had Grade 1 goiter.Questionnaire type survey on IDD was conduction in 150 children and all of the children had the knowledge of goiter.Conclusion The use of iodized salt iodize in Gaozhou city has attained the national target." @default.
