- W2380856716 abstract "In order to study the growth behavior of culture cells which are stretched mechanically,an experimental device of stretching elastometic membrane is designed to stimulate culture cells mechanically which might simulate the physiological or disorder tensile strains environment of cells in vivo.A sheet of silicone gel membrane(thickness,0.2 mm) is mounted on a chamber that connected to a rolling pump.The cells that are tested are seeded on the surface of the membrane.Therefore the membrane might be tensioned or relaxed by the cyclic pressure.Since the cells are attached to the surface of the membrane,they presumably experience the same deformation as is applied to the membrane.The peak value and periods of strain of the membrane during tension could be changed according to experimental requirement in the ranges 0.007～0.03 and 0.06～0.118 Hz,respectively.The device of stretching elastomeric membrane to simulate physiological and histological strains of tissue cells is useful to study the in vitro cellular stress growth relation." @default.
