- W2381994145 abstract "The ethanol-ester-diesel blended fuels were used on a four-cylinder diesel engine,and the ethanol content in the blend was 30%.The effects of oxygen content on performance and combustion characteristics of the diesel engine were investigated.The results show that without modification on engine,adding oxygen into the diesel reduces the power,increases the brake specific fuel consumption but hardly changes the equivalent brake specific fuel consumption.More ethanol in blend fuel leads to longer ignition delay,and the ignition delay of E20B and E30B are 1.2 °CA and 2.5 °CA longer than that of diesel engine,respectively.The ethanol in blend fuels shortens combustion duration,and at full load,the combustion duration of E10B and E30B are 5 °CA and 10 °CA shorter than that of diesel engine respectively.The peak in-cylinder pressure and maximal heat release rate increase when increasing ethanol in blend." @default.
