- W2382012384 abstract "Objective To investigate a simple and applicable method in treatment of Class Ⅱ malocclusion in mixed dentition.Methods Eight patients aged from 8～11 with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion and moderate crowding were selected.Treatment involved included headgear and 2×4 edgewise appliance in maxillaand fixed lingual arch in mandible.Results ClassⅠmolar and canine relationships were achieved after the treatment.The overjet was significantly decreased,and the profile was remarkable improved.The treatment results of cephalometric analysis showed that the value of SNA and ANB decreased,and the upper incisors significantly retroclined.The angle between palatal plane and SN increased.Conclusion The use of headgear and 2×4 edgewise appliance combined with lingual arch is effective in the treatment of ClassⅡmalocclusion with moderate crowding in mixed dentition.The growth of the maxilla can be restrained and significant spaces can be gained hy headgear and lingual arch in upper and lower arches." @default.
