- W2382014964 abstract "To improve the hydrodynamic performance and resistance prediction accuracy of a Deep-Vee ship,a method to calculate the resistance of a Deep-Vee ship sailing at medium and high speed was presented.This method included the prominent influence of dynamic sinkage and trim through the iterative solution of flow field pressure distribution as well as of the sinkage and trim by adopting Fluent software and a hydrostatic equilibrium calculations.The resistance prediction error is about 2% to 4%.The resistance reduction of Deep-Vee ship by the stern flap was due to a decrease of dynamic trim and reduction of the pressure resistance of the hull,as well as an increase in the virtual appendage of the ship.A proper installation method of stern flap for Deep-Vee ship,which can reduce the total resistance of the tested model by 6.5%,was obtained." @default.
