- W2382148256 abstract "The merit system of the officials of royal clansmen in Jin and Song dynasties was a specific system that was carried out within the scope of the imperial merit system.It did not contain any special regulations stipulated for the officials of royal clansmen.During the Western Jin Dynasty,the imperial power was highly developed.Then the politics of imperial power revived in Liu Song Dynasty.As a result,though the officials of royal clansmen followed the constant merit system,they received a wealth of bounties bestowed by the emperors,including frequently promoted extra statutory remissions.In addition to the concession law enacted specially for the aristocracy,the officials of royal clansmen obtained a preferential treatment in terms of merit. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty,the imperial power declined.Thus,in contrastto the officials of commoners,the officials of royal clansmen underwent a stricter treatment with respect to merit,and they were demoted more frequently and had a rough official career." @default.
