- W2382455970 abstract "The D deposit discovered by the research group I3 of the national 305 program and the 4Th geological team of Xinjing Geological Bureau is one of the fragmented and altered gold deposits of large scale. The deposit is situated in the southweastern flank of Markakol deep fault in Kran Hercynian fold belt. Strata exposed in the ore district are Middle Devonian metamorphic rocks located among K,DX, and SWZ plogiclase granite intrusivcs in form of aslender belt spreading in S-N direction. The main structural of the ore district is A congruous syncline, and the direction of the structural line is NNE to SN. Ore body in the mine occurs in the contact zone between clasic rocks and carbonatites spread in the east side of A sycnline. The wall rocks are all altered, the main alterations include phyllonitization , greisenization, pyritization , quartizificatipn ate. This paper is one part of the result obtained by the research project of study on the ore field structure, deposit occurence and exploration target. The mineral resources quantitative assessment in our work includeds the following aspects:1). Authors collected all the practical data in the D ore field ( in about 80 square kilometers), sumarized the characters of geological , geochemical and geophysical anoma- lies, and remote sensing informations , and picked up the ore-forming favourable informations in raw data. A comprehensive informations prediction map was compiled , and a hierarchical model of exploration informations was set up.2). Based on the hierarchical model of exploration information, we divided the ore field into 466 statistical units, and used the multivariate statistical analysis and quantification theory HI to process the geological, geochemical and geophysical data. The exploration model units and the 19 variables that are closely related with the mineralization were chosen. Then the ore-forming favourability of each unit was calculated by using' Boer' method ( 1974) and the characteristic analysis (R.B. McCammon, 1981). Having compared the favourability of ore-bearing units with that of non-ore units, we selected 45 units as the exploration targets.3). The Monte Carlo probability simulation method was used to estimate the ore-bearing favourability and the reserve distribution pattern, and the assessment model of mineral resources was established . Finaly, the ore-bearing units were quantitative assessed and the mineral reserve in the ore field was estimated. The paper is also an example showing how to shoose exploration target , and how to assess the mineral resources based on geological experience , geochemical and geophysical anomalies. It also duplicates and repreduces the geological thought process in statistical prediction of mineral resources." @default.
