- W2382485890 abstract "Objective: To understand the current status and trends of the staff wages in Center for Disease Control and Prevention( CDCs) in China after the implementation of pay for performance. Methods: 263 CDCs were selected from the 30 provinces or municipalities and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps(excluding Tibet) by stratified-cluster random sampling and questionnaire surveys to collect data of pay for performance. Results: Pre-tax wages of health workers in different positions of CDCs in 2011 has main difference in basic wages; pre-tax wages of health workers in different regions of CDCs in 2011 has main difference in pay for performance. Average annual growth rates of pre-tax wages of health workers in different regions of CDCs from 2009 to 2011 were-0.96%,-1.62% and 1.51%; average annual growth rates of pay for performance were 2.27%, 7.26% and 10.46%; average growth rate of west region was fast. Conclusion: Pay for performance reflects differences in the level of economic and price in different regions of China, but the performance of the wage distribution within each unit still had iron rice bowl phenomenon, and the annual growth rate of pay for performance was much lower than annual GDP growth rate, therefore, establishing natural growth mechanism of performance pay becomes the current primary task." @default.
