- W2382800001 abstract "SP-700 titanium alloy is prepared by mixing, die pressing and vacuum sintering using titanium powder, iron powder, molybdenum powder and aluminum-vanadium master alloy powder. The influences of processing parameters including size distribution and oxygen content of Ti powder, pressing pressure and sintering temperature on the relative densities, microstructure and properties of the prepared SP-700 alloy are systematically investigated. Moreover, microstructure and properties of SP-700 alloy are compared with Ti-6Al-4V alloy prepared by the same technological conditions. The results show that the relative densities of the green and sintered compacts are increased with pressing pressure; the green compact with lower density and sintered compact with higher density are prepared using Ti powder with small particle size and high oxygen content; the relative density of the sintered compact becomes a little higher when sintering temperature increases. The microstructure of SP-700 alloy is in grain lamellae with grain boundary α phase distributed in β matrix; The properties of SP-700 alloy are strongly influenced by powder stock and sintering temperature; SP-700 alloy has finer microstructure and more excellent properties compared with Ti-6Al-4V alloy. The best process and property parameters are: using Ti powder with low oxygen content about 0.15% and mean particle size about 73.6 μm, pressing under 500 MPa pressure, sintering at 1 260 ℃ for 5 h; the relative density, tensile strength, yield strength and elongation rate of SP-700 alloy are respectively 96.3%, 1 008 MPa, 931 MPa, 4.3%." @default.
