- W2382854017 abstract "On the basis of Redlich-Kwong's equation of state the following two empirical equations of state for real gases are suggested: when τ(reduced temperature)1,where α=0.4297 and when τ≤1, where α=0.4297In order to evaluate the above equations, fourteen substances of different critical compressibility factors (from 0.293 to 0.220)and dipole moments (from 1.87 to zero D) are selected as test substances. Values of the calculated pressures obtained by the author's, the Redlich-Kwong's, the van der Waals', the Berthelot's and the Srihari's equations are compared with experimental data from literatures. A scrutiny of the results from 165 points of calculation shows that the author's equations of state are useful within the range of π(reduced pressure)=0.05～7.0 and τ=0.7～2.0 and exceeding in accuraoy in comparison with the rather good Redlich-Kwong's equation for most of the calculated points and certainly far superior than the equations of van der Waals, Berthelot and Srihari. Furthermore, except a few points in the vicinity of the critical point, the accuracy of author's equations may compare well with that of Lu-Tien's three-parameter equation of state." @default.
