- W2382904680 abstract "Lightweight steels are Fe-Al or Fe-Mn-Al-C alloys which have been developed by adding abundant Al to ultra-low carbon steels or C-Mn steels. The effects of Al addition are first briefly introduced on the density and phase constitution of steels as well as on carbide formation in the steel matrix. According to alloying composition and phase constitution,lightweight steels can be generally categorized into four types: single-ferrite steel( primarily being Al-rich interstitial-free steel,i. e.,Al-IF steel),ferritic steel( primarily being δ-TRIP steel),ferrite-austenite dual-phase steel and austenitic steel. A detailed review of microstructural characteristics,mechanical property,and deformation and strengthening mechanisms of Al-IF steels and δ-TRIP steels were given in order to provide a reference for further development of those two types of lightweight steels." @default.
