- W2383206623 abstract "OBJECTIVE:To study the inhibitory effects of different solvent extracts from Aspidopterys obcordata on renal calcium oxalate stone formation in rat. METHODS:90 healthy male Wistar rats were randomly divided into blank(isovolumic distilled water)group,model(isovolumic distilled water)group,water extraction high and low dose groups [20,10 g(medicinal materials)/kg],50% alcohol extraction high and low dose groups [20,10 g(medicinal materials)/kg],95% alcohol extraction high and low dose groups [20,10 g(medicinal materials)/kg],Shenshitong granules(5 g/kg)group,10 for each. Except for blank group,all the groups were given ig 1% glycol and 2% sodium chloride to establish kidney stones model;after 5 h of modeling administration,corresponding drugs were given ig for 4 weeks,once a day. After the last treatment,the content of serum Cr,BUN,Ca2 +and P were detected,and the pathological section and the content of Ca2 +and Mg2 +were determined. RESULTS:Compared with blank group,the content of serum Cr,BUN and Ca2+in kidney tissue were increased and the Mg2+content was decreased in model group,with significant difference(P0.01 or P0.05). Compared with model group,the content of serum Cr,BUN and Ca2+in kidney tissue were significantly decreased in water extraction high dose group and 95% alcohol extraction high dose group,there was only serum Cr content was significantly decreased in 95% alcohol extraction low dose group and Shengshitong granules group,the Mg2 +content in kidney tissue was increased in water extraction high dose group,with significant difference(P0.01 or P0.05). There were no significant differences among other groups(P0.05). The microscopic observation showed that there were many crystal depositions at the junction of renal cortex and medulla in model group,mainly in the tubular wall,the pipe cavity expansion was obvious. Calcium oxalate crystal of kidney tissues was significantly decreased in water extraction high dose group and95% alcohol extraction high dose group(P0.05),crystals mostly scattered distribution,tubular cavity expansion was significantly reduced. CONCLUSIONS:A. obcordata has a certain effect on renal protection,inhibits renal calcium oxalate stone formation in rats and prevents kidney stones. The 95% alcohol extract has the best effects." @default.
