- W2384039156 abstract "The occurrence law and control techniques of Pseudococcus maritimus(Ehrhom) in Moyu County,Xinjiang in 2004～2006 were studied and investigated.The results indicated that Pseudococcus maritimus has 3 generations annually,the nymph of which hides in the soil under the old bark and cracks of the grapevine to overwinter.The overwintering nymph begins to damage grape in the middle ten days of March.The overwintering femaleadult insect begins to lay eggs in the end of April and at the beginning of May.The nymph hatches in the middle ten days of May.The first generation of the female insect is hatched in the middle ten days of June,which begins to lay eggs at the beginning of July.The nymph hatches in the first ten days of July;The second generation of female adult insect appears in the middle ten days of August,which begins to lay eggs in the last ten days of August.The nymph hatches at the beginning of September,which begins to overwinter in October.There are 4 times for the nymph to be controlled the most effectively by insecticide control.The 1st time is the middle ten-day period of April;The 2nd time is the last ten-day period of June;The 3nd time is the middle and last 20 days of August.The 4th time is the period of November,namely,after pruning grape in autumn and before covering grape by soil.The integrated control measures should be conducted to control the Pseudococcus maritimus.The insecticide control should be reduced as far as possible." @default.
