- W2384148787 abstract "Objective Laterally spreading tumor(LST) has a close relationship with colorectal cancer,because its pattern of growth is different from those of ordinary protruded tumors.Thirty-nine patients are concluded after EMR(Endoscopic Mucosal Resection) or EMPR(Endoscopic Piecemeal Mucosal Resection) by magnifying endoscopy after stained. Methods Those signs such as reddish and uneven mucosa,unclear or interrupted vascular network were observed by magnifying endoscopy after stained. Results There were 1 patient with intra-mucosa carcinoma and 1 patient with serrated adenoma in 39 patients with LST.Lesion types observed under endoscopy were as follow: granular type 18 lesions,nodular-mixed type 20 lesions,and pseudocaved type 1 lesion.The biggest lesion was 35mm×43mm.Of the 39 patients the diameters were 12 within 11～20mm,15 within 21～30mm,and 12 above 31mm.The pathological diagnosis showed that 17 patients with IIIL pit patterns were tubular adenoma,10 patients with IV pit patterns were villous adenoma,and 1 patient with V pit patterns LST was intramucosa carcinoma.All of the 39 patients were resected by EMR or EPMR. Conclusions Mueosa staining and magnifying endoscopy are very useful in detecting LST.NBI(Narrow-band Imaging) is an effective technology to reduce the time of examination.Pit patterns of LST are mostly IIIL or IV,LST with IIIL pit pattern is mainly tubular adenoma and LST with IV pit pattern is mainly villous adenoma;while LST with the V pit pattern signifies canceration metaplasia.Mass screening of high risk general population is an important way for detection of early stage colorectal cancer." @default.
