- W2384235311 abstract "Objective To study the effect of procyanidine onβ-amyloid peptide 25-35(Aβ25-35) induced apoptosis and oxidative stress reaction in PC12 cells.Methods PC12 cells with a concentration of 3×10～8/L were cultured for 24h,and then incubated with culture solution(control group),10μmol/L Aβ25-35(induction group),and 30 mg/L procyanidine plus 10μmol/L Aβ25-35(protection-group ).Cells were harvested 24h later,and their apoptosis,MDA and H_2O_2 levels,and CAT activity were determined by Hoechst 33258 fluorescence staining and colorimetric analysis,respectively.Results In induction group,apoptosis-specific pyknosis and kary-orrhexis were observed,MDA and H_2O_2 contents increased(P0.01),but CAT activity decreased(P0.05) compared with control group. However,compared with induction group,apoptosis-specific pyknosis and karyorrhexis and MDA and H_2O_2 levels decreased(P0.01), but CAT activity increased(P0.01) in protection group.Conclusion Procyanidine can inhibit Aβ25-35 induced apoptosis of PC12 cells, which may be related to the suppression of oxidative stress reaction." @default.
