- W2384343157 abstract "AIM To find out effective measure of cerebral protection in DHCA and its possible mechanism.METHODS Twenty-four common dogs were randomly divided into four groups: control group(group I),deep hypothermia circulatory arrest group(group II),deep hypothermia circulatory arrest + intermittent selective antegrade cerebral perfusion group(group Ⅲ) and deep hypothermia circulatory arrest + MK-801 group(group IV).After bypass and reperfusion,brain tissue was obtained to detect the levels of excitatory amino acids(EAAS),the apoptosis rate of neurocyte and the degree of cerebral edema.RESULTS Compared with those in group I,the levels of EAAS,the apoptosis rate of neurocytes and the degree of cerebral edema all significantly increased in group II(P0.01) and in group IV.Compared with those in group II,they significantly decreased in group Ⅲ(P0.01),and except for the level of EAAS,the apoptosis rate of neurocytes and the degree of cerebral edema significantly decreased in group IV(P0.05).CONCLUSION After a long-time DHCA and reperfusion,the level of EAAS increases in brain tissues,which may be one important factor leading to cerebral injury.Intermittent selective antegrade cerebral perfusion can effectively inhibit the delivery and accumulation of EAAS,thus providing effective cerebral protection during long-time DHCA operations." @default.
