- W2384376703 abstract "Objective To explore the acute toxicity of nano-iron particulates and their effect on serum biochemical indexes in mice.Methods The mice were treated with a single oral dose of nano-iron particulates at 5 g/kg body weight.After 14 days,the mice were sacrificed,the visceral coefficients of liver and kidney were calculated and the serum samples were collected for biochemicel analysis.Results The liver visceral coefficient of nano-iron particulates group((0.054 9)±(0.004 1))was obviously higher than that of control group((0.049 3)±(0.006 2),P0.05).Compared with that of the control group,the serum iron and total iron-binding capacity(TIBC)of nano-iron particulates group have no significant difference(P0.05).The serum unsaturated iron-binding capacity(UIBC),LDH,TBIL and TBA of nano-iron particulates group were((8.93)±(7.39))%,((301.78)±(120.50))U/L,((1.48)±(0.26))μmol/L and((1.01)±(0.42))μmol/L respectively,significantly lower than those of the control group((12.65)±(9.82))%,((407.75)±(101.29))U/L,(((1.96)±(0.59)))μmol/L and((1.73)±(1.02))μmol/L(P0.05).The serum ALT,AST,UA,BUN,Cr and GLU of nano-iron particulates group have the tendency to be lower but with no significant difference compared with those of the control group(P0.05).Conclusions In general the nano-iron particulates could be considered less toxic and might show some different effect on serum biochemical indexes compared with the ordinary iron material." @default.
