- W2384646144 abstract "Annual and seasonal heating and cooling degree-days for 16 main cities in Xinjiang were calculated at different base temperatures,based on daily maximum and minimum temperature records during period 1959-2004.Variation characteristics of the annual heating and cooling degree-days for these cities were outlined.The results showed that the mean annual heating degree-days for these cities at the 18 ℃ base temperature range from 2 700.3～5 220.5 ℃·d,and the mean annual cooling degree-days at the 24 ℃ base temperature range from 25.9～746.4 ℃·d.Generally,increase for annual heating degree-days,and decrease for annual cooling degree-days as rising of the base temperature.There is a significant positive relationship between the mean annual heating degree-days and location variables,i.e.,latitude,longitude and altitude.Using multivariate regression method, a linear regression model with a relative coefficient 0.881 at 0.001 confident level,which can be used as an interpolation equation for any site where the observed data are missed,has been obtained.The relative errors between the predicted values and the original values is less than 18.1%.Though relationship between the mean annual heating degree-days and location variables,i.e.,latitude,longitude is not evident,there is significant negative relationship between annual cooling degree-days and altitude." @default.
