- W2384927761 abstract "ObjectiveTo evaluate the curative effects of retroperitoneoscopic and urethral resectoscope for the treatment of the renal pelvis carcinoma.MethodsWe performed retroperitoneoscopic and urethral resectoscope in 23 cases of the renal pelvis carcinoma.ResultsThe operation was successfully completed in all the 23 cases. The operation time was 160～300 minutes (mean 210 minutes), the blood loss was 80～320 mL (mean 176 mL), and the postoperative drainage volume was 50～200 mL/d (mean 113 mL/d). The drainage tube was removed at 24～48 post-operative hours. Food intake was started on hospital 26～48 hours. The duration of hospitalization ranged 6～10 days (mean 8 days). Pathological findings after operation showed transitional cell carcinoma in all cases. No complications happen in hospital. Follow up observations in the 23 cases for 3～36 months (mean 21 months) found no recurrence. ConclusionsRetroperitoneoscopic and urethral resectoscope is a safe and effective way for the renal pelvic carci-noma. Compared with open surgery, it has advantages of shorter operative time, a smaller incision, less blood loss, a more rapid recovery and less complications happen." @default.
