- W2385751489 abstract "Objective To observe the difference in hospitalized duration,complications and expense between enteral nutrition(EN) and parenteral nutrition(PN) with different treatment study. Methods After hospotalization,44 patients were administered fasting, gastrointerstinal pressure reducing, pain relieving,gastric and pancreatic secretion and infection controlling.The intravenous nutriti given on the second day for all patienrs.After stabilization of the patient's condition(generally 3～5days after hospitalization) group EN was given enteral nutrition ,while nurtition were continued until fasting was stopped in group PN. Among group PN, 8 cases were given enteral nutrition after 2 weeks.Results No abdominal pain ,diarrhea,and abdominal cavity infection case was found,but 3 cases of pseudo-pancreatic cyst were found in group,and the average hospitalization time was 18 days,average expense 19996.7 yuan. Wheras in group PN 12 cases of abdominal pain and diarrhea, 2 cases abdominal infection ,1 case of MODS,1 case of venous duct infection and 6 cases of pseudo-pancretic cyst were found. The average hospitalization time was 21.7 days and hospilization expense was 36781.0 yuan.No statistic difference was found in hospitalization time between two groups (P0.05),but there was a statistic difference in hospitallization expense between two groups (P0.05).Conclusion Early enteral nutrition may decrease hospitalization expense and the complications such as abdominal infection abdominal pain and diarrhea" @default.
