- W2386095466 abstract "Objective:To compare the haemodynamic response of a rapid induction of anesthesia using propofol and thiopentone.Method:Forty two cases of elderly patients,aged 65～76 years old,were allocated randomly into two groups according to the anesthetics used for induction.Group Ⅰ was induced with propofol 1.5mg·kg and Group Ⅱ with thiopentone 4mg·kg,and then with fentanyl 2ug·kg and suxamethonium 1.5mg·kg for both groups to produce a rapid induction.SBp,DBp,MAP,HR and SpO2 were monitored during the course.RPP was calculated.Results:The patients receiving propofol showed less change in their haemodynamic functiron.Conclusion:Propofol reduced the haemodynamic response effectively in the anesthesia induction in elderly cancer patients." @default.
