- W2386367020 abstract "The seeds of Hibiscus syriacus,Hibiscus hamabo and Pavonia hastata were irradiated by ~(60)Co-γray at different doses(50～250 Gy)of 100 Gy/h dose rate and then sown in order to investigate the effects of ~(60)Co-y ray irradiation on their seed germination and seedling growth.The results indicated that the effects of irradiation on the above 3 tree species' seeds were different.The irradiation could promote P.hastata and H.syriacus seedlings at doses of less than 200 Gy and 50 Gy,respectively, but inhibit them at greater doses.All the irradiation treatments had an inhibiting effect on H.hamabo seedlings.Among the 3 species H.hamabo was the greatest in radiation sensitivity and P.hastata the least.The putative radiation dose suitable to mutation breeding was 128.2 Gy for H.syriacus, 104.7 Gy for H.hamabo and above 250 Gy for P.hastata." @default.
