- W2387443530 abstract "Objective:To study the effect of acute hypervolemic hemodilution(AHH) on hemodynamics, cerebral edema and cerebral oxygenation in aged patients undergoing neurosurgery. Methods:Forty aged patients(ASAⅠ~Ⅱ) undergoing elective neurosurgery were studied after written informed consent. The patients were randomly divided into 2 groups(n=20 each),control group(C) and AHH group(A).The patients in group A were infused of 6%HAES(Fresenius Kabi,Germany) at a speed of 25 mL/min before induction. The object of hemodilution was haematocrit(Hct) 0.30.The mean blood pressure(MAP),heart rate(HR) and central venous pressure(CVP) were recorded at preoxygenation(T0),pre-tracheal intubation(T1),protracheal intubation(T2),5 min after tracheal intubation(T3),10 min after tracheal intubation(T4)and 15 min after tracheal intubation(T5).The plasma osmotic pressure, arterial oxygen saturation, jugular venous oxygen saturation and lactic acid content were measured at the time point of pre-hemodilution and pro-hemodilution.The difference of oxygen content in arteria and jugular venous(DA-JV02),cerebral extraction of oxygen(CERO2)and the difference of lactic acid content in arteria and jugular venous(DA-JVL)were assayed. Results:The content of Hb and Hct were lower in group A after AHH than that of group C(P 0.05).Compared group C,hemodynamics was steady in group A during hemodilution. There was not significantly different in plasma osmotic pressure during hemodilution between two groups(P 0.05).The value of SjvO2 was higher, and DA-JVO2 and CERO2 were lower at pro-hemodilution compared with those of pre-hemodilution in group A.(P 0.05).There was not significantly different in DA-JVL during hemodilution in group A.There was no marked variation in SjvO2,DA-JVO2,CERO2 and DA-JVL in group C(P 0.05).Conclusion:In this study,AHH is beneficial to the aged patients undergoing neurosurgery, which can keep hemodynamics stable, maintain plasma osmotic pressure balance, and profit to cerebral oxygenation." @default.
