- W2387625564 abstract "Objective To study the feasibility, safety and clinical outcome of early application of enteral nutrition in postoperative patients with esophagus cancer. Methods Forty cases were randomized into two groups: early enteral nutrition (EN) group (n = 20) and control group (n = 20). Enteral nutrition was started 24hours after operation via na-so-jejunum tube placed during operation, 500 ml was given in the first day and then increase 500 ml each day to remain at 2 000～2 500 ml. Body weight, total protein, albumin,prealbumin and total lymphoeytes count were tested preopera-tively and at postoperative day 14, hospital day was recorded for every patient. Results The EN group has a significant increase in PA( P 0.05) and a significant decrease in Hb( P 0.05). The control group has significant decrease in TP, Alb, Hb(P0.05). There are significant differences in BW, TP, Alb, LYM between the two groups. The EN group has a more slight decrease in body weight and a shorter hospital days than the control one does(P0.05). Conclusion Early application of enteral nutrition after operation provides a nice benefit, well feasibility and safety for patients." @default.
