- W2387733520 abstract "Objective To explore and evaluate the efficacy and safety of intense pulsed light(IPL) combined with pulsed dye lasers(PDL) in the treatment of purple and incrassated port-wine stains(PWS).Methods From Octber 2002 to June 2007,175 patients with purple and incrassated PWS were treated with IPL and PDL.IPL was performed first for 2～5 cycles,then PDL was used with a treatment interval 2～3 months,and a total of 4～8 courses of treatment.The relation between the treatment efficacy and treatment plan,treatment times and lesion types were analyzed retrospectively.Side-effects were also evaluated.Results All 175 patients were followed for 3～6 months.The cure rate and response rates were 14.29% and 51.43% respectively.With the increased treatment times,the efficacy of treatment was significantly improved(P0.05).Hypertrophic scar,hypopigmentation and hyperpigmentation were found in 2 cases(1.14%),3 cases(1.71 %),and 5 cases(2.86%) respectively.Conclusion IPL combind with PDL is effective and safe in treatment of purple and incrassated PWS." @default.
