- W2387831264 abstract "Objective To explore the distribution site of cadmium and lead in soil and rice along road polluted by traffic and the removal of them by shelling.Methods The contents of cadmium and lead in soil and rice in rice field (polluted area) along No.319 National Road and in control area were determined by atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Results Cadmium [(1.89±0.45)mg/kg] and lead [(116.15±23.71)mg/kg] were sedimented mainly in surface layer of soil respectively in polluted area and were higher than those in control area respectively (P0.001). The contents of heavy metal in shell, coarse rice, coarse rice bran and coarse polished rice were 0.195, 0.254, 0.248, 0.239 mg/kg for cadmium respectively, and 1.32, 0.722, 1.99 and 0.635 mg/kg for lead in polluted area respectively, which were higher than those in control area (P0.001). The distribution order of contents of heavy metal in rice was coarse rice bran coarse rice coarse polished rice shell for cadmium, and coarse rice bran shell coarse rice coarse polished rice for lead respectively. Positive correlations were observed in contents of cadmium and lead between soil and rice (r=0.942～0.994, P0.001). The efficacies of the removal of cadmium and lead by shelling were 22.13% and 47.3% respectively. Conclusion The soil and rice along road traffic had been highly polluted by cadmium and lead in exhausted gases. The degree of their pollution in soil could influence their enrichments in rice." @default.
