- W2387965960 abstract "Objective: To observe the curative effect of ganciclovir on children with infectious mononucleosis (IM). Methods: Sixty-two patients with IM were divided into two groups randomly. The treatment group (32 patients) were treated with ganciclovir intravenously (10 mg·kg -1·d -1), and the control group were treated with ribavirin intravenously (10～15 mg·kg -1·d -1). In the process of treatment, the change of symptoms and signs were observed every day. Results:The clinical symptoms and signs of the patients in the treatment group disappeared earlier than those in the control group (P0.01). The total effective rate was 91.7% in the treatment group and 59.4% in the control group (P0.01). Conclusion: Ganciclovir can shorten the treatment period and raise the curative rate without side effect in children with IM." @default.
