• W2388042468 abstract "ObjectivesTo investigate the significance of apoptosis,prol iferation and expression of regulating genes(p53,Bcl-2)in hepato-blastom a cells.MethodsThe density of apoptotic cells and positive expression of p 53,Bcl-2and PCNA proteins in38cases of hepatoblastoma were detected by i n situ terminal labelling technique and immunohistochemical staining.Results The densities of apoptotic cells(120.64±24.52)and proliferative cells(257.64±29.64)in hepatoblastoma were all significantly highe r than those in normal liver tissues(19.51±1.32;18.28±1.25 )(P0.01)The positive expression rate and staining intensity of p53and BCL-2pro-teins(57.8%and36.8%)in hepatoblastoma were also signif icantly higher than those in nomal liver tissues(0%and17%,P0.05). Expression of PCNA representing activity of cellular proliferation revealed sign ificant difference in various types of hepato-blastoma (P0.01),but t here was no statistical significance between the number difference of apoptotic cells.Tumors with higher density of apoptotic cells displayed better prognosis .ConclusionAbnormal regulation on balance between the apoptosis and prolif -eration of hepatoblastoma cells may play an important role in the pathogenes is and progression of hepatoblastoma.Both mutants of p53and BCL-2proteins c an inhibit the apoptosis and promote cellular proliferation." @default.
