- W2388156611 abstract "The thin-skinned tectonics (TST) at the southeast foot of Dabie mountain are well developed and consisted of two suits: ductile-semiductile one, represented by ductile shear zones, and brittle-semibrittle one, characterized by thrust nappes. The later one can be divided into six first-order thin-skinned sheets, i.e. Proterozoic, Cambrian-Ordovician, Silurian-Devonian, Carbonifcrous-middel Triassic, upper Triassic-Jurassic and Cretaceous-Tertiary thin-skinned. In general, the sheets inserted by layer-glide and thrust faults between them show a texture of imbrication in an inverted sequence.Melange and geophysical data support the views of the collision and collage occuring between the Dabieshan and the Yangtze terranes, but also indicate the former thrusting over the later. The collision is oblique and gentle dipping faults appeared between them. Their south border consists of the south part of Tancheng-Lujiang faults, the southeast part of Xiangfan-Guangji faults and some covered detachments. Main collage fault has some splay layer-glide and thrust faults near surface. Main collision age is between 225 Ma and 75 Ma and last collage age would last a period between 33 Ma and 23 Ma. Thus, this collision and collage event resulted from a long lasting procession orogenic procces, which is continuous and consisted of several stages. TST in this area were formed on this background. Among them, the ductile-semiductile TST formed during middle-late collision period and the brittle-semibrittle TST during late collision period and postorogenic epoch. In the subducting process of the Yangtze terrane, the strata sheets in the Yangtze terrane's cover which were subducted under the Dabieshan terrane were ploughed out piece by piece, and formed imbrication structures. In the same time, large-scale folding deformation and thrust nappes were formed between the two terranes due to the collision effect. And it has made the strata shortened and the crust thickened abruptly. These adjusted intense compression deformation result from the two terranes' collision and collage." @default.
