- W2388880616 abstract "Objective:In order to offer a reference to the combination diagnosis of syndrome and disease in the treatment of Sjogren syndrome(SS)with the integrated medicine, and also offer a objective index for clinical effect, this research studied the relationship among syndrome differentiation, symptoms and laboratory indexes of SS.Methods:376 SS patients were divided into four groups according to the traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndromes. They were measured the TCM symptoms such as sore throat, fever, joint pain, chest distress, palpitation and shortness of breath, mumps, crewels, arthrocele, ecchymosis on the extremities, and the laboratory indexes such as ESR,IgG,CRP,RF,WBC,PLT and Hgb.Results:Spontaneous perspiration, fatigue, palpitation and shortness of breath showed no statistical difference between the syndrome of qi and yin deficiency and other syndromes.Joint pain, arthrocele, ecchymosis on the extremities and chest distress in the syndrome of blood stagnation caused by yin deficiency had significant difference compared with other syndromes.Fever, mumps and sore throat were shown most often in the syndrome of toxic fever caused by yin deficiency, and had statistical difference. The attack rate of crewels was significantly higher in the syndromes of blood stagnation caused by yin deficiency and toxic fever caused by yin deficiency with statistical difference.IgG,RF,ESR,CRP and PLT in the syndromes of blood stagnation caused by yin deficiency and toxic fever caused by yin deficiency were higher than other syndromes, and WBC in the syndrome of qi and yin deficiency was lower than other syndromes, both had statistical differences.Hgb in the syndrome of qi and yin deficiency showed a tendency of decline without statistical difference. Conclusion:Different TCM syndromes showed different laboratory outcomes. The laboratory outcomes, which were highly correlated to the disease activity, also had certain relationship with TCM syndromes. These regularities might offer a reference to evaluate the clinical effect on SS" @default.
