- W2388894949 abstract "Epoxy resin coatings doped with Al powder were prepared on Q235 steel substrate in order to accurately and rapidly evaluate the anticorrosion behavior of the coatings under cathodic protection condition.The anticorrosion behavior of as- prepared Al-doped epoxy resin coatings with or without pre- fabricated defects in 3.5%NaCl solution was evaluated in the presence or absence of externally applied cathodic protection by dual electrolysis cell in combination with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.Results indicated that,whether in the presence or absence of the cathodic protection,the as-prepared Al-doped epoxy resin coating without pre-designed defects remained unaltered after immersion in the 3.5%NaCl solution for 150 d,showing excellent protective performance.When the coating that remained complete after immersion in the saline for 150 d was treated by pre-fabrication of small hole(Φ1.5 mm) defects in association with follow-up 90 d of immersion,the Al-doped epoxy resin coating exhibited a smaller peeling-off rate in the presence of the cathodic protection than in the absence of the cathodic protection.Under cathodic protection condition[-1.03 V(vs SCE)],the Al-doped epoxy resin coating exhibited good anticorrosion ability in the 3.5%NaCl solution.In one word,the pre- fabricated defect in combination with the dual electrolysis cell and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy could be well applied to rapidly evaluate the protective performance of coatings under cathodic protection condition." @default.
