- W2389274364 abstract "Objective: To systematically assess the clinical efficacy and safety of Dan Shen preparations combined with low molecular weight heparin(LMWH) for preventing deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs after orthopedic operation. Methods: Such databases as Pub Med, EMbase, Cochrane Library, CBM, CNKI and Wan Fang were searched for randomized controlled trials(RCTs) on the prevention of deep venous thrombosis of lower limbs after orthopedic operation by combination of Dan Shen preparations and LMWH; the Rev Man5.2 software was used for Meta-analyses. Results: Five RCTs involving 332 patients were included. The results of Meta-analyses showed that the combined group of deep venous thrombosis rate was [RR=0.29, 95%CI(0.15, 0.56)] lower than the Heparin group. The average postoperative wound drainage was [SMD=0.12, 95%CI(-0.13, 0.38)], compared with the Heparin group, the difference had no statistical meaning. Conclusion: Dan Shen preparations combined with LMWH can be more effective and safer in preventing deep vein thrombosis of lower extremities, compared with the single use of heparin. However, since the research was single-center research with lower selected qualities and lesser samples, the multi-center research should be implemented with increased amount of samples and thoroughly described random methods and allocation hiding strategies and the complete, accurate indexes should be concluded to increase the reference value for the results of Meta-analysis." @default.
