- W2389724461 abstract "Glyptholaspis wuhouyongi sp. nov. (Figs. 1-16) ♀. Body brown, dorsal shield oval, 862-931 μm long, 597-689 μm wide. The shield strongly ornamented with spots and reticulations. 28 pairs of dorsal shield setae strongly plumose, insertions of F, widely separated- All ventral setae strongly plumose, St, longer than St2 and St3. Ventroanal shield nearly pentagonal, with 3 pairs of preanal setae. Ad ly ing before the level of anterior margin of anus, longer than PA. Movable digit of chela with 2 teeth. Corniculus slender. Tarsus Ⅱ - Ⅳ bearing spiniform setael those of tarsus Ⅳ long and stout, arranged in pairs:The new species is near to Glyptholaspis plumiventris Hull, 1925, but differs from thelatter in: dorsal shield widest at its anterior part, both dorsal setae and ventral setae plumose, the spiniform setae on tarsus Ⅳ showing in Figs. 6, 12 and 16, by this character italso differs from all known species of the genus.Holotype ♀, paratypes 4 ♀ ♀ ， 2 and 2 deutonymphs, in soil, from Baicheng(45°37′N, 122°49′E) , Jilin Province, May to June 1992; 5 ♀♀, and 3 deutonymphs,in horse dung, same locality, June to July 1993. Type specimens are deposited in the National Base of Plague and Brucellosis Control.The new species is named in honor of Prof. WU Hou-yong, famous medical entomologist in China." @default.
