- W2389774671 abstract "The cation requirement, pH and heat stability, substrate specificity and effect of inhibitors on M. gallisepticum were studied. Results show that ATPase of M. gallisepticum is stimulated by Mg~(2+), but not by Na~+ and K~+. Mg~(2+) can be replaced by Mn~(2+), Co~(2+), and Zn~(2+) to a various extent, but not by Ca~(2+). Ca~(2+) shows somewhat a slight inhibition effect. ATPase of M. gallisepticum has a comparatively wide pH range and is more stable to heat. Some inhibitors for mitochondrial ATPase complex, i.e. oligomycin, and DCCD, have no effect on M. gallisepticum ATPase. The structure and function of ATPase of M. gallisepticum are discussed in comparison with those of mitochondria and bacteria." @default.
