- W2390569439 abstract "Objective To investigate the relationship between the timing of surgery for intracranial ruptured aneurysms and the clinical outcome. Methods A retrospective analysis of 121 patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) undergoing treatment was made. Each patients clinical grade according to Hunt Hess classification was assessed. Early surgery was performed on 24 patients and delayed surgery on 97 patients. Results 90.6% patients in early surgery had excellent or good outcomes, 88.7% in delayed surgery, for the Hunt Hess Ⅰ～Ⅲ patients, the hospital stay was 18.2 ±3.5d in early surgery, and 36.4±4.6d in delayed surgery. 13 patients suffered from rebleeding du ring conservative treatment in the delayed group. Conclusion Early surgery for ruptured intracranial aneurysms is beneficial to shorten hospital stay and reduce the risk of rebleeding during observation, especially for Hunt Hess Ⅰ～Ⅲ patients. However, the difficulties might increase in early surgery because of brain swelling in Hunt Hess Ⅳ or Ⅴ patients." @default.
