- W2390936297 abstract "The melt grafting of maleic anhydride (MAH) with ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) by mechanical initiation in the presence of initiator dicumyl peroxide (DCP) in a twin-screw extruder was carried out and the influence of initiator content and screw rotation speed on the grafting degree and melt flow rate (MFR) of the grafted product (EVA-g-MAH) was investigated.The results showed that with the increase of initiator content,there appeared a maximum value for the degree of grafting.However,the grafting degree decreased at first and then increased when the screw rotation of the extruder speeded up.The MFR of the grafted product was obviously increased when the screw rotation was up to 300 r/min.Under given formulation conditions the side-reaction of EVA in the crosslinking reaction could be inhibited by changing the screw rotation speed,and EVA-g-MAH with high grafting degree (0.29%～0.8%) and better MFR (0.7～1.2 g/10 min) could be prepared.The results of mechanical properties tests showed the prepared product had good toughening effect on PA 66." @default.
