• W2391655850 abstract "The present paper gives a description of five spiders of the family Theridiidae from China, of which three are considered to be new to science, two species and Stemmops O. P. Combridge, 1894 are recorded for the first time in China. The diagnoses of the new species are given below. All specimens including type specimens are deposited in Hebei Educational College.1. Achaearanea galeiforma sp. nov. (figs. 3-7)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratypes 3♂♂ and 3♀♀, collected from Mt. Xishan (25°3'N, 102°40'E), Kunming City, Yunnan Province by M. S. Zhu and W. S. Zhang, June 2, 1983.Body length ♂ (holotype) 2.66mm; ♀ (allotype) 2.98mm.Carapace brown in colour, abdomen light brown with golden yellow patches on its dorsal surface.This new species is similar to Achaearanea culicivora (Bosenberg et Strand, 1906). but differs from the latter in the middle of dorsum of abdomen has a larger hump, and by the structures of the epigynum and of the male palp.2. Chrysso trimaculata sp. nov. (figs. 8-12)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratype 2♂♂ and 3♀♀, collected from Chungan County Mt. Wu-yishan (27°47'N, 118°2'E), Fujian Province, July 16, 1986.Body length ♂ (Holotype) 3-26 mm; ♀ (Allotype) 4.01mm. Carapace brown, eye region black in colour, abdomen yellow-green with three black stops on the dorsum of abdomen.This new species is allied to Chrysso venusta (Yaginuma, 1957), but differs from the latter as follows: (1) The abdomen is quadrilatera and there are three distinct circular black spots on the mid-dorsal sides and the end of the abdomen, but in C. venusta its abdomen is triangular and there are irregular black spots only on mid-dorsal sides; (2) The structures of epigynum and the male palp are also different.3. Theridion mirabilis sp. nov. (figs. 17-21)Holotype ♂, allotype ♀, paratypes 4♂♂ and 8♀♀, collected from Shijiazhuang City (38°3' N, 114°29'E), Hebei Province; paratypes 2♂♂ and 3♀♀, collected from Pingsha County (38°15'N, 114°11'E), Hebei Province. Body length ♂ (holotype) 1.98 mm; ♀ (allotype) 2.40 mm.Carapace riddish orange, eye region black in colour, the dorsum of abdomen black and the venter of abdomen yellow.This new species is similar to Theridion berkleyi Emerton, 1942, but can be distinguished from the latter by the structures of epigynum and the male palp." @default.
