- W2391738196 abstract "Objective:To explore the causes and treatment of delayed postoperative infection of larynx carcinoma.Methods: 21 cases were supraglottic carcinoma (5 cases of T 1N OM O,6 cases of T 1N 1M O,4 cases of T 1N 2M O,2 cases of T 2N 0M 0,3 cases of T 2N 1M O,1 case of T 3N 2M O),10 cases were glottic carcinoma(3 cases of T 2N OM O,4 cases of T 3N 0M 0,3 cases of T 3N 1M 0)and 1 case was total laryngectomy from other hospital.All cases were male,31 cases were performed laryngeal reconstruction with sternohyoid myofascial flap,cervical skin flap,etc.18 cases received postoperative radiotherapy.The time of occurring of delayed postoperative infection was within 1～3 months in 13 cases,4～6 months in 16 cases,7～10 months in 3 cases,respectively,the mean time was about 5.6 months.Result:In addition to local incision and drainage,antibiotics were taken in general and local treatment were done.The end of silk sutures was found in 23 cases.All delayed postoperative infections were cured. Conclusion:The end of silk sutures ,insufficient blood supply of laryngeal reconstruction,radiotherapy are attributed to the delayed infection." @default.
