- W2392173637 abstract "Objective:To explore the value of Tei index in normal fetuses and fetuses with heart failure.Methods:Echocardiography was performed in 400 normal fetuses to detect left ventricular(LV) and right ventricular(RV) Tei index.According to gestational ages,400 fetuses were divided into four groups:20～25w,26～30w,31～35w,36～40w,each group had 100 fetuses.The influence of gestational age and heart rate on the index were analysed.LV and RV Tei index in 8 cases fetuses with heart failure and 30 normal fetuses were detected in order to analyse if there was great significance between them.Results:LV and RV Tei index was 0.319±0.104 and 0.328±0.105 separatively in 400 normal fetuses.There was a correlation between LV and RV Tei index(r=0.776,P0.001).No significant changes of Tei index were observed in fetuses with increasing gestational ages or among fetuses with various fetal heart rates(P0.05).In 8 fetuses with heart failure,LV Tei index was 0.556±0.141 and RV Tei index was 0.819±0.280.Compared with the normal fetuses,it was greatly increased,which showed a significant difference(P0.01).Conclusion:Tei index was a simple and reliable Doppler index of quantitative assessing overall ventricular function in fetuses." @default.
