- W2392893178 abstract "Pollen is one of the important indexes in reconstructing paleoclimate and paleoenvironment.The difference of preservation abilities of different pollen taxa is very important to pollen spectra veracity.It is generally believed that oxygenation action is one of the strongest chemical actions to pollen preservation,so the longer pollen exposed in surface soil,the greater possibility of pollen being oxygenated.In order to validate the statement,the destructive effect of oxygenation environment on Pinus tabulaeformis pollen grains is investigated by simulating a natural situation in laboratory,using KMnO4 and HNO3 as an oxidant.The following viewpoints and conclusions are put forward: the Intactness ratio of Pinus tabulaeformis pollen grains marinated in the same liquor concentration shows a decreasing trend with time.It is true that along with the liquor becoming denser for the same reaction time the Intactness ratio decreases.The Intactness ratio is less than 1% while dipping in 2% KMnO4 liquor for 1 hour;after dipped in 68% HNO3 for 18 hours,the remnant pollen exine became thin,ornament became faint and almost were all dissolved for 24 hours.It is very clear that the oxygenation environment has a serious influence on Pinus tabulaeformis pollen preservation.The influence of alkalescence environment on Pinus tabulaeformis pollen is studied,revealing that alkalescence environment has a bit of effect on pollen eroding,but it can not destroy pollen grains obviously,so oxygenation environment has stronger destruction ability to Pinus tabulaeformis pollen than alkalescence environment.Pinus tabulaeformis pollen possesses strong preservation ability.However,more study of the erosion mechanism of other pollen taxa that have weak preservation ability is needed." @default.
