- W2393069713 abstract "Objective To observe the morphological and quantitative changes of osteoporosis in emasculated female rats, and mensturate the level of NO and NOS in serum so as to study the role and significance of NO and NOS in Osteoporosis. Methods 45 three moths old female rats were sorted into three groups randomly, nameed control group(Sham group) emasculated group(OVX group) and drug treatment group(OVX+N/L group), drug was used from the 3th day after be emasculated) All rats in three groups were killed at fourteenth week after operation. Bone's morphological and quantitative changes were analyzed the by image analyzer and the level of NO and NOS in serum were mensturated, then compared the difference among groups. Results OVX group compared with control group and OVX+N/L group: The volume of relative osteal girder and average thickness of osteal girder decreased remarkably (P0.01); The absorptive acreage of osteal girder and percentage of osteoplast covering osteal girder was increased obviously(P0.01); The level of NO and NOS in serum decreased remarkably(P0.01). There was no statistical significance between OVX+N/L group and control group in above mentioned aspects (P0.05).Conclusion The reason of bone-decrease in emasculated female rats is the negative balance between osteal conversion and rebuilding-bone absorption is quicker than bone rebuild. The change of NO and NOS in serum perhaps plays an important role in the course. Estrogen possibly regulates the level of NO and NOS in serum to prevent negative balance of bone absorption. 【" @default.
