- W2394029065 abstract "Objective To study the effects of fastigial nucleus electrostimulation (FNS) on the abilities of learning and memory and the expressions of C-Rel and Bcl-xl protein of hippocampal neurons in Alzheimer's disease (AD) rats induced by β-amyloid (Aβ1-40). Methods Forty SD rats were randomly divided into:Aβ1-40 micro-injection (AD),sham (SC),Aβ1-40 micro-injection and FNS (FNS) and Aβ1-40 micro-injection and corpus dentatum electrostimulation (DNS) groups. The effects of FNS on the abilities of learning and memory of the AD rats were measured by Morris water maze test. The appearance of AD rats hippocampal neurons were observed by HE staining and electron microscope. The expressions of c-Rel and Bcl-xl protein of hippocampal neurons were detected by immunohistochemistry method. Results The escape latency of the place navigation in AD,FNS and DNS groups were singnificantly longer than those in SC group(P0.05),the OD value of positive cells of c-Rel and Bcl-xl in hippocampus CA1 area of AD,FNS and DNS groups were obviously different from those of SC group. The escape latency was shorter in FNS group than that in AD group(P0.05),the OD value of c-Rel and Bcl-xl in hippocampus CA1 area of FNS group (0.65±0.09,0.46±0.04) were increased than those of AD group(P0.05). The OD value of c-Rel and Bcl-xl in hippocampus CA1 area and the escape latency were not different between DNS group and AD group(P0.05). Conclusions FNS could improve the abilities of learning and memory of AD rats by increasing the expressions of c-Rel and Bcl-xl and inhibiting hippocampal neurons apoptosis." @default.
