• W2394497412 abstract "본 논문은 1981년 교육과정이 개정된 새로 편찬된 중학교 과학교과서가 학교 현장에서 효율적으로 사용되고, 앞으로의 교과서 연구와 편찬을 위한 기초 자료를 제공하려는 목적에서 신 구 과학 교과서를 문헌 연구를 통해 비교하고 분석하였다. 연구 영역은 중학교 교육 과정의 과학과 교육목표와 교과서의 기능에 비추어 5개 범주로 구분하였다. 교과내용 면에서는 신 구 과학 교과서에 수록된 주요 개념과 내용을 비교하여 개념체제와 내용 전개방식에서 변화한 점을 밝혔고, 탐구과정에 대해서는 로미의 방법을 이용하여 신 구 과학 교과서의 본문에 대하여 학생의 관련 지수를 구하고 분석하였다. 구성체제 면에서는 신 구 과학교과서의 단원 구성 체제와 그에 포함된 요소들을 단원 구성 체제의 일반적 모형에 비추어 비교하고 분석하였으며 학습 난이도에 대해서는 신 구 교과서의 내용을 비교하여 중학생의 지적 발달 수준을 넘어서는 내용의 삭제정도를 조사하였고, 제작 사항에서는 신 구 과학 교과서의 쪽수, 판형, 활자, 인쇄, 지질, 색도, 여백, 제본 등을 비교하고 기존 연구 결과에 비추어 논의하였는데 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 신 구 과학 교과서의 개념 체제에는 큰 변화가 없으나 각 학년에 물리, 화학, 생물, 지구과학 분야가 한 단원씩 수록됨에 따라 구 교과서의 단원이 축소 통합되어 관련 단원의 내용이 줄어들었고 내용 배열에 변화가 있었다. 교과 내용의 전개방식에서 구 과학 교과서가 실험, 관찰, 고찰을 통해 학생 스스로 주요 개념을 탐구하도록 한데 반해 신 교과서는 실험, 관찰의 수를 줄이고 대신 학생의 경험과 친밀한 자료를 많이 도입하여 주요 개념들을 설명하고 있다. 탐구과정 면에서 본문에 대한 로미의 관련 지수가 구 교과서 1, 2, 3학년용이 0.43, 0.48, 0.24로 1, 2학년용이 비교적 탐구적인 교과성미에 반해 신 교과서 1, 2, 3학년용이 관련지수는 0.16, 0, 11, 0.09로 신 교과서가 구 교과서에 비해 탐구적인 면이 떨어지고, 사실과 설명 위주의 교과서라고 판단된다. 구성체제 면에서 신 과학 교과서는 구 과학 교과서에 비해 도입부분을 강조하고 학습 내용을 보충 심화할 수 있는 기회를 더 많이 제공하고 있으며 삽화나 참고자료의 수를 늘이고 새로 '읽을거리'를 수록함으로써 독해가 용이하도록 하고, 학생의 관심과 흥미를 유발하려 하고 있다. 학습 난이도 면에서 신 교과서는 구 교과서에 있던 정량적인 실험과 수식의 일부를 삭제하고, 단원을 축소하고 해설을 늘렸으며, 학년간의 내용 배열 조정을 통해 학습자의 수준에 알맞도록 구 교과서의 내용을 재조직하고, 내용전개 과정에서 중학생의 지적 발달 단계를 넘어서는 방식을 부분적으로 지양함으로써 학습 난이도를 줄이고 있다. 제작사항에서 신 과학 교과서는 구 과학 교과서에 비해 판형이 커지고 지질이 향상되고 여백이 넓어지고, 제본방식이 바뀌었으나 그 외의 요소들은 변화가 없다. 【In this study, I compared and analyzed the new and old secondary school science textbooks to find the charateristics of them and the differences between them. The results of the study are the following. Major concepts in the new textbook are almost similar to those in the old one. The-new textbook reinforces the functions of the introudction and checking the result of learning, and presents more and diverse learning materials and reduces the degree of learning difficulty by omitting the several abstract knowledges and mathematical formulas which can be understood through formal operational thinking. The results show that the new textbook is more effective in arousing student's interest and curiosity there fore it increases the efficiency of learning. But the new textbook is less suitable for inquiry because it is mainly composed of explanation and fact rather than experiment and observation. I think that this is the result from the actual approach to the real conditions of school when the curriculum was reformed and the new textbook was written.】" @default.
