A sub-regiao do Pantanal de Aquidauana destaca-se pelo desenvolvimento da pecuaria extensiva de bovinos, que ao longo dos ultimos anos tem promovido a introducao de capins exoticos provocando rapidas mudancas e transformacoes na paisagem. O presente estudo teve como objetivo analisar as mudancas no uso da terra e cobertura vegetal da sub-regiao do Pantanal de Aquidauana. A metodologia fundamentou-se na interpretacao e processamento digital de imagens descritas por Novo (2008), Jensen (2009) e Florenzano (2011). Os resultados culminaram em seis mapas de uso e cobertura da terra dos anos de 1966, 1975, 1985, 1995, 2005 e 2013 classificados estatisticamente de muito bom a excelente segundo parâmetros estatisticos (Indice Kappa e a Acuracia Global) , que permitiram a compreensao da evolucao da paisagem do Pantanal de Aquidauana ao longo de 47 anos. The sub-region of Aquidauana Pantanal stands out for the development of extensive cattle ranching, which over the years has promoted the introduction of exotic grasses causing rapid changes and transformations in the landscape. This study aimed to analyze the changes in land use and vegetation cover the sub-region of Aquidauana Pantanal. The methodology was based on the interpretation and processing digital images described by Novo (2008), Jensen (2009) Florenzano (2011).
