Die vierteljährlich erhobenen Daten erlauben eine Aussage über die Infektionshäufigkeit in den Spenderkollektiven und somit indirekt eine Beurteilung der Sicherheit der gewonnenen Spenden. Der vorliegende Bericht erstreckt sich auf die Jahre 2003 und 2004 und beinhaltet die Daten aller Blutspendeeinrichtungen in Deutschland. Die Gesamtzahl infektionsserologischer Untersuchungen von Blutspenden und Voruntersuchungen von Spendewilligen betrug 7,09 Millionen im Jahr 2003 und 6,37 Millionen im Jahr 2004. Im Jahr 2003 lag die Prävalenz bezogen auf 100.000 Spenden für HIV bei 8,2, für HCV bei 99,3, für HBV bei 158,9 und für Syphilis bei 34,4. Der Anteil der Serokonversionen bezogen auf 100.000 Spenden lag für HIV bei 0,8, für HCV bei 1,2, für HBV bei 1,0 und für Syphilisinfektionen bei 1,5. Im Jahr 2004 lag die Prävalenz bezogen auf 100.000 Spenden für HIV bei 4,8, für HCV bei 85,3, für HBV bei 156,3 und für Syphilis bei 36,2. Der Anteil der Serokonversionen bezogen auf 100.000 Spenden lag für HIV bei 0,9, für HCV bei 1,3, für HBV bei 0,6 und für Syphilisinfektionen bei 2,0. Die Auswertung zeigt bei insgesamt sehr niedrigen Infektionshäufigkeiten weiterhin rückläufige HCV-Infektionszahlen und einen Anstieg der HIV- und Syphilisinfektionen seit 1999. Mögliche Ursachen für letzteren müssen weiter untersucht werden. Die Datenqualität hat sich im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren weiter verbessert, jedoch waren immer noch nicht alle Meldungen nach Geschlecht, Alter und Spendeintervall aufgeschlüsselt." @default.
