- W2460033297 abstract "In the aim to investigate the new and more efficient adsorbents for nicotine adsorption from aqueous solutions, nicotine carrier in electronic cigarettes and transdermal systems for nicotine release, a) the adsorption isotherms of nicotine from aqueous solution on zeolite USY, b) kinetics isothermal adsorption curves of nicotine from aqueous solution on zeolite USY, c) kinetics isothermal adsorption curves of nicotine from aqueous solution on precipitated silicon dioxide, d) isothermal kinetic curves nicotine bonding onto poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel (PAA), e) kinetics curves of the isothermal desorption of nicotine adsorbed on silicon dioxide, f) kinetics curves of the non-isothermal desorption of nicotine adsorbed on silicon dioxide and g) isothermal kinetic curves nicotine release from poly(acrylic acid) hydrogel are determined. The kinetic models and kinetic parameters for investigated processes are determined. The same model was established for the desorption of nicotine adsorbed on silicon dioxide under isothermal and non-isothermal conditions. Complexity of kinetics of the investigated processes was examined. Kinetics of the complex process can be described by established kinetic models, because the activation energy distribution is narrow and most likely energy is closed to the value of activation energy of chosen models. The determined kinetic models for nicotine adsorption and absorption on the investigated adsorbents and hydrogeland nicotine desorption and release from investigated adsorbents and hydrogel are explained by different mechanisms. The values of activation energy for adsorption are correlated with structural parameters and the linear correlation between adsorption activation energy of the model and average diameter of pores of investigated adsorbents are determined. The results showed that the different structure porosity of the examined adsorbents and hydrogels have influence on the kinetics and mechanism of adsorption and desorption of nicotine. The formation of activation complex under adsorption and desorption of nicotine can be explained by applying Larsson model of selective transfer of energy.%%%%U cilju pronalaženja novih i efikasnih adsorbenata za adsorpciju nikotina iz vodenih rastvora, nosaca nikotina u elektronskim cigaretama i sistema za transdermalno oslobađanje nikotina, u radu su određene: a) izoterme adsorpcije nikotina iz vodenog rastvora na hidrofobnom zeolitu USY, b) kineticke krive izotermne adsorpcije nikotina iz vodenog rastvora na zeolit USY, v) kineticke krive izotermne adsorpcije nikotina iz vodenog rastvora na taložni silicijum dioksid, g) kineticke krive izotermne apsorpcije nikotina u hidrogel poliakrilne kiseline PAA, d) kineticke krive izotermne desorpcije nikotina adsorbovanog na taložni SiO2, đ) kineticke krive neizotermne desorpcije nikotina adsorbovanog na taložni SiO2 i e) kineticke krive izotermnog oslobađanja nikotina iz hidrogela.
