EnglishPigmented epithelioid melanocytoma (PEM) is a recently entity encompassing synthesizing pigmented melanomas, animal type melanomas and epithelioid blue nevus occurring sporadically or in the Carney complex syndrome, characterized by his great size, deep, low pleomorphism, great amount of pigment and scant mitoses. Although PEMs frequently metastasize to the lymph nodes, they have a more favourable outcome than conventional melanomas. We believe they should be considerated as melanocytic borderline tumours or low grade melanocytic tumours that could be treated with limited excision." @default.
