Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Teknik pengumpulan data  menggunakan teknik tes, observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Validitas data menggunakan teknik validitas isi dan triangulasi. Analisis data menggunakan teknik deskribtif komparatif, teknik analisis kritis dan teknik analisis interaktif. Hasil penelitian tindakan kelas ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian dari skor rata-rata kelas nilai tes kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian sebesar 54,07 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 25,92% pada pratindakan, meningkat menjadi 69,76 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 55,56% pada siklus I dan meningkat lagi menjadi 84,18 dengan persentase ketercapaian kelas sebesar 85,18% pada siklus II. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa  metode kumon dapat meningkatkan kemampuan operasi hitung perkalian  pada pembelajaran matematika siswa kelas 3 Malik SD Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Abstract : The objective of this research is to improve the capability of multiplication operations through the Kumon Method in the mathematics learning of the students in grade 3 Malik of The Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo Elementary School In 2015/2016 Academic Year. This research is a classroom action research (PTK) that conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The data were gathered through test, observation, in-depth interview, and  documentation. They were validated by its content validity and the data triangulation techniques. The data were then analyzed using descriptive-comparative technique, critical analysis techniques and interactive analysis techniques. The results of this research shows that there is an improvement for the   capability of multiplication operations. Prior to the treatment, the average class test score of the capability of multiplication operations is 54.07 and the number of the students who fulfilled the minimal completeness criteria is 25.92%. After the treatment, the average class test score of the ability of multiplication operations becomes 69.76 in Cycle I and 84.18 in Cycle II respectively. In addition, the number of the students who fulfilled the minimal completeness criteria became 55.56% in Cycle I and 85.18% in Cycle II respectively. Based on the results of the research, a conclusion is drawn that the Kumon Method can improve the capability of multiplication operations in the Mathematics learning of the students in Grade 3 Malik of of Al-Azhar Syifa Budi Solo Elementary School  in  2015/2016 Academic Year.
